Principal Designer (CDM)

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, a Principal Designer is appointed by the client to take control of the pre-construction phase of any project involving more than one contractor. The Principal Designer has an important role in influencing how risks to health and safety are managed throughout a project.

Health & Safety

Health and safety is a critical aspect of every construction project, and non-compliance with regulations can lead to significant consequences, including fines or, in extreme cases, custodial sentences. We ensure our clients have a clear understanding of their duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM Regulations).

We appreciate that many clients may feel apprehensive about health and safety requirements. That’s why we provide clear, step-by-step guidance throughout the project, ensuring full compliance with all relevant CDM duties and creating a safer working environment for everyone involved.

CDM Regulations & Duty Holder Roles

We have an in-depth understanding of the duties and responsibilities of each member of the project team under the CDM Regulations. Our team supports all parties in fulfilling their obligations confidently and competently.

With over 30 years of industry experience, we possess the skills, knowledge, and experience required by the HSE to act as Principal Designer. We are committed to ensuring that health and safety is not just a compliance exercise, but an integral part of a well-managed project.
