Principal Designer (CDM)

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, a Principal Designer is appointed by the client to take control of the pre-construction phase of any project involving more than one contractor. The Principal Designer has an important role in influencing how risks to health and safety are managed throughout a project.

Health & Safety

Knowing that this is the one area of the industry that can result in imprisonment for the client, we ensure our clients know and understand the CDM Regulations thoroughly.

Many clients are apprehensive about health & safety, which we fully understand; we guide all our clients through the regulations step by step, ensuring all the CDM Regulations are adhered to.

‘Designers’, really?

We are not designers, but under the regulations where there is no designer or the designers do not want to undertake this role, then under the regulations we can happily step in and undertake the role of Principal Designer.

With over thirty years of experience within the industry, we have the appropriate skills & knowledge required by the HSE to undertake the Principal Designer role for our clients.
