The Goodwood Estate

Situated in the heart of West Sussex, the historical and world famous Goodwood Estate is home to the Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Glorious Goodwood events. SMD are proud to be resident Quantity Surveyor for this prestigious client.

Southern Cooperative

Southern Co-op is a regional consumer co-operative in the United Kingdom. The principal activities of the Society are food retailing, funeral homes, and cafes. They operate more than 300 food, funeral and Starbucks coffee branches across the south of England.

West Wittering Estate Ltd

Formed by local residents, the West Wittering Estate operates West Wittering Beach, a stunning, award-winning stretch of West Sussex coastline steeped in history. With a strong commitment to conservation, WWE’s goal is to provide visitors to the area the ability to connect with nature in a safe, clean, and relaxing environment.

Yattendon Group

Owned by the Iliffe family, the Yattendon Group is a privately held group of companies. Through its subsidiary companies, they operate across marine & leisure, property and local media sectors throughout the UK and in Europe, Canada and North America.

The Aldingbourne Trust

The Aldingbourne Country Centre on the outskirts of Chichester is owned and managed by this registered charity and provides vital opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism allowing them to live meaningful and fulfilled lives and contribute to their communities.

Marina Developments Limited (MDL)

MDL operate 19 high-quality marinas across the South and offer premium berthing and boatyard services as well as a wider offering in some locations that include; residential, fitness, commercial, retail and storage facilities as well as annual boat shows.

Trafalgar Wharf

Trafalgar Wharf is situated in Portsmouth Harbour overlooking Portchester Castle and is home to the UKs largest indoor dry stack boat storage facility.

Barnham and Eastgate Parish Council

Barnham and Eastergate Parish Council was established in 2019 following the merger of the previous Barnham Parish Council and Eastergate Parish Council.

Award Winning Service

SMD are extremely proud to have won four Sussex Heritage Trust Awards for Aldingbourne Country Centre, Goodwood Education Centre (two awards) and the West Wittering Beach Café. All the winning projects were of differing scales, and this shows that no matter the size and scope of a project, with the right approach it too can be a great success… and potentially award winning!

Lifeguard Station

SMD were proud to work alongside WWE on another important community project, this time to provide a vital state-of-the-art Lifeguard Station along West Wittering beach.

Aerodrome

SMD provided Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying Services for the refurbishment of the existing Goodwood Aerodrome building.

Tylers Beach House

SMD were delighted to work on this stunning New England-style home on West Wittering beach.

Conference Centre

SMD are very proud to have provided project management and quantity surveying services for the Aldingbourne Trust new £4.5m Conference Centre

Coop Food

SMD provide QS & PD services for new Co-op stores across the County. The images below are taken of the new store along Hursley Road in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.

Northney Roundhouse

Appointed as QS on the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing Roundhouse from offices and retail into luxury 2, 3 and 4 bed apartments on Hayling Island.

Cottages

As resident surveyor, SMD have delivered Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying services for the refurbishment of 3 luxury holiday cottages on the Goodwood Estate.

MDL Headquarters

SMD were appointed as QS on the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing Yacht Club building into MDL’s brand new Headquarters in Ocean Village, Southampton

West Wittering Cafe

SMD were proud to have worked with West Wittering Estate to provide a new beachside Café and education centre.

Graylingwell Chapel

The restoration and extension of Graylingwell Chapel, a Grade 2 listed building, originally constructed as part of a large Victorian asylum built in the late 1800s, was a £2m National Heritage Fund supported project.

Roof Replacement

SMD provided Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying Services for the replacement of the roof of the Trafalgar DryStack in the Portsmouth Harbour.

Education Centre

SMD provided Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying Services for the refurbishment of the Grade I Listed Gordon Rooms at the Goodwood Estate
